I can't be that special.
I know that I'm not the only one who has multiple passions. Is it possible to build a multi-passion solopreneur business?
Well, I haven't achieved it yet, but this article is the roadmap I created for myself to put things in perspective and have clear goals.
I want to share it because this is the roadmap I would've liked to come across at the beginning of my journey.
In 2020, I started freelancing in Branding, and I managed to generate "ok" revenue. One year later, I launched my Shopify Design Studio. Again, I did "ok" money. I was trying to build my personal brand, but I wasn't sharing anything "personal," so it couldn't become a personal brand. I was only talking about my services, and that was it. I had many "what if moments" as if I wasn't doing the right thing.
I came across two creators that changed my way of thinking. Katie Xu on TikTok and Dan Koe on LinkedIn. Where they preach that you must become YOUR own niche. I always wanted to achieve this, but I didn't know how.
It was stuck in my head, and I couldn't put it into paper. You are reading this because I finally was able to do it.
So, my multi-passionate friend. Well, even if you don't have many passions. I think you didn't explore enough opportunities to become aware of those passions. You might get inspired.
If I didn't consume those creators' content. I would've been trapped.
You have to be careful who you're listening to.
Before crossing Dan Koe's path, I watched a lot of SMMA and Iman Gadzhi's content, and he practically preaches that you shouldn't follow your passion, or you'll stay poor.
You may have seen some of those counterintuitive videos.
That might be the case for some of his audience.
But many business owners are making a living from their passions or interests.
I was building a false narrative and started questioning my future and how I should approach my plan.
Luckily, I pulled myself out of it very quickly.
I asked myself this question, and finding an answer was more difficult than expected because I overcomplicated everything. The plain and simple answer is that I want to talk about whatever I want and do whatever I want whenever I want.
What is a multi-passions business anyway? Over the next 5-10 years, I want to create endless opportunities to generate revenues from my passions.
The goal? Scale it to 1M in revenue.
I don't want to spread myself everywhere and offer many services around my passions, and that's not my purpose with my business model.
How? Before answering that, in case you didn't notice. Before being a passion, it was an interest. By definition, passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. You get it and can talk about it for hours without getting bored.
What got you interested in that?
Here is a list of interests that I can call or could call passion:
I managed to generate revenue from Branding & Web Design, but I want it to be at a different level. Somewhere in the world, I know that there are people who share at least half of my interests. If it weren't for Branding or Web Design, I would have started a YouTube channel about basketball, cooking, or both.
It's so inspiring to see other creators who have started a channel on one of my interests. They took the leap without any validation.
At some point, I studied nutrition and was planning on becoming a nutritionist/coach (not self-employed). I wasn't feeling "that" excitement and decided to call it a quit.
With all my interests combined, I could use a particular stack of skills to create a stable income stream and slowly incorporate new ways of building products or offering new services.
I was inspired by Lindie Boates, a UI/UX designer who speaks 7+ languages and teaches systems about language learning. I mean, the possibilities are really endless. I could operate my Design Studio and show my cooking skills combined with my workouts.
That's what is so intriguing about becoming your own niche. At some point, I'll be speaking Japanese fluently. Who knows what kind of opportunities will be coming to my door?
Attention is necessary to attract opportunities.
So, what is my plan?
Quite frankly, I was always terrible at setting goals and accomplishing them. That's why I was stuck in the same place for so long without knowing where I was going. I was preaching strategy for brands, but I needed to have one on my own.
So what's my plan exactly?
My ego was a big part of me being stuck for a long time. I was thinking of working with "high-ticket clients" only because, quite frankly, that's what I was being exposed to.
High-ticket clients are better, high-ticket clients are less complicated, and so on and so on.
Guess what? It's complicated as hell to land high-ticket clients when you don't have a network. The key to a high-ticket sale is trust. And that wasn't the case for me at all.
I had a big self-reflection and finally decided where I would act like I was starting like a complete beginner.
So, I ditched the high-ticket mentality and put to paper what it would take to reach 10k per month ASAP.
I believe that I deliver super high-quality work and have a seamless process. I always underpromise and overdeliver.
So, I decided to switch my niche "again" and work with Med spas. I sold my first "10k valued" bespoke website at 5k.
But that was a friend of mine. The trust factor was already established.
Most business owners don't care about custom or semi-custom.
They only care about how much they pay and how much they will make.
That's an important point because I can still deliver a fantastic website from a template I created once.
The whole point is to create once and sell many times without compromising time.
The only thing that I need to do is craft some compelling messaging and optimize the website to generate more leads for the business.
Instead of cold emailing blindly. I redesigned and developed the home page of 5 med spas. Out of these, three responded to me with a keen interest in working with me.
Enough about what I did. Let's see what I'm planning to do.
My actual price tag is 3500$, and I only need to have three clients per month to reach 10k.
The crazy part? I can take on three clients per week with a VIP-intensive model.
I can deliver an entire website ready to go only in one day.
This is by far the most essential phase.
I get to step out of my comfort zone and become the creator I have always dreamed of becoming.
I had an insightful conversation with Katie Xu. We spoke about a particular question that makes you think deeply.
What would you be doing if you didn't need money in your life?
This question is so so so profound that you might question your whole life.
For me? I would watch and play basketball, write, cook, study Japanese, and most importantly, I would study my religion Islam every single day.
I understand that not everyone has the luxury to take risks.
But you can take calculated risks.
Obviously, none of that is simple. Daily actions are necessary to achieve your desired life.
I always lacked consistency in what I was doing.
Like going to the gym, one day, it just clicks. And it did because I've never skipped a single day when I was not feeling like going.
I'm shifting from work-focused content to Imed's content.
I genuinely believe I can deliver value.
My only obstacle is articulating it in a more compelling way.
I guess it comes down to practice.
So, I'm glad to tell you I'm doing that right on.
I always thought that personal Branding was practically the same as typical Branding.
You know... you aren't designing for yourself.
You're designing for your target audience.
Well, that is very true. But that takes a different spin when your target audience is your past self. I'm creating content for previous me. I know what I like, what I don't like, what I want to read and what I don't want to read.
The only difference? You can't have an identical twin to yourself. Even twins have different personalities and different interests (mostly.)
It's not only about visuals but also about how I write and communicate.
It's certainly easier to do business with someone who shares some of your interests.
My previous personal Branding was intended to appeal to a feminine audience. My updated version will keep my minimalist style but incorporate my interests.
My new Branding will be a holistic encapsulation of me.
I aim to appeal to a broader audience looking to explore the intersection of their passions with business ideas.
I can be very professional and also can be very casual. Both usually don't work well together, but that's because it's a "norm." I work for myself, so I might just do whatever the hell I want.
The more you read my articles and watch my videos, the more you get to know me. And you either like me, or you don't. That's on you.
Because the truth is told, my grammar is horrible (thanks to Grammarly), you are reading something that makes a lot more sense.
My goal is to help my particular style become noticeable. Probably not as of now but in the future? Hell yes. With time, I might not need Grammarly at all.
Coming back to what I said earlier. Imagine you don't have to work. What would you be doing as of now?
I'm sure as hell that I won't be making websites (despite the fact I love doing that.) I grew older, and my interests grew with me throughout my self-reflections.
Achieving what I want to do if I wouldn't have to work will take time.
But I know that I can achieve it.
Sharing my mission is important, so I will speak with as many people as possible about what I'm building. I want to share as much value as possible.
You can be the best talent in the world, but if no one sees you, no one sees you.
I was ignorant for a long time regarding this particular matter.
I wasn't giving enough effort to my marketing and was always blaming the algorithm. That won't be the case anymore.
I became who I am today because of my choices.
Good or bad. It made me who I am today.
My interests and hobbies made me who I am today.
So if there is anyone else who is or was like me before, I want to reach out and share my journey with them.
I shared a list of my interests somewhere on top.
You might have skipped it.
I don't blame you. Let me share with you what my content will be from now on.
I put myself in a box trying to write everything "eCommerce," which didn't last long. Because yes, I'm interested in it, but I don't have a burning desire to talk about it indefinitely. I could write about anything. It's the same process (research, outline, draft, proofread, publish.)
I wrote many articles that ranked in the first pages of google for my design studio (that only brought me a few leads) yet.
I don't enjoy it the same way I'm enjoying writing this, and I won't ever get bored or tired of writing about my interests. I only have to make it attractive for others to consume it (words of Dan Koe), which are 100% true.
I had to come up with a new bio for myself. I won't lie. I asked ChatGPT for quick help. But the main idea remains mine.
"Exploring the intersection of passions and business. Here to share my journey building a multi-passion one-person business to 1M in revenue."
I wanted something clear and, at the same time, intriguing. It doesn't imply a specific topic but a wholesome topic which revolves around passions, business, multi-passionate and one-person business.
So, what are those topics?
The list is incredibly long, and that's what I love about it!
I will be learning at the same time, and sharing it while learning makes it more exciting.
Here are some of the topics:
- Whatever the hell I want to talk about
That's the whole point. Not limiting myself to talking about specific topics, but what I judge is important in how I approach growing my business.
Even nutrition can be a topic I can talk about because of its importance for creativity.
Do you see where I'm getting at?
If you follow me, you follow me because of what I share as an individual who shares his wins and losses without filters.
Not only because of my so-called expertise.
So, if you want to learn more about how passions and business can grow together, I guess you'll be reading more of what's coming.
My ultimate goal is to become a full-time content creator without relying on trading my time for a service (making websites or Branding.)
Teaching is something that I have always loved despite being an introvert. I still have a lot to learn, but I can teach someone how to design a website and build a brand.
Yes, I can teach that, but I can't teach how to reach six figures with it (yet.)
Making money, talking about my interests and sharing my perspective on life is what I want to achieve.
I want to be able to take ANY of my interests and restart obsessing over it without worrying about my next bill.
That's the real mission of my multi-passions solo business. Becoming able to do whatever I want whenever I want.
You might say to yourself one of these two things,
On both ends, you can benefit from it. I don't claim to know it all, but I can learn and become very knowledgeable about what I'm talking about.
If you find it interesting and you wonder how this might turn out, I invite you to follow my journey along. Buckle up because I'm going to take you on a long, long ride.
Before I let you go, I want to share my state of mind with you.
At some point, I will charge 10k per website like nothing because of the results I can bring to the client.
So, I don't see making 20,30k as a problem. The only difference is that I'm ready to start very low and build my way up slowly.
1M per year is $83,333 per month, and it would be possible with several income streams.
Building each income stream near 6 figures will help me bring my solopreneur business to 1M in revenue.
The first step is to build my Design studio to multiple six figures.
My other income streams will follow, and you'll be in touch.
Whenever I use my current intersect (making money interest), I focus on generating recurring income until I delegate and get back my time.
I block every day from 8 am to 9:30 am for writing and content creation.

Total revenue: $44,000 per month
Taking into consideration only the first product at $79.
Making 6 sales per day for 30 days = $14,220
The average conversion rate for digital products is around 2.5% depending on the quality of traffic. So, I'm going a take the bottom line at 2%.
I need 300 visitors daily at a 2% conversion rate to make 6 sales.
Potential revenue: $14,220
My courses will change with time, depending on my actual intersection.
The same applies here. 6 sales per day for 30 days = $13,500
I need 300 visitors daily at a 2% conversion rate to make 6 sales.
Potential revenue: $13,500
There is $11,613 left between affiliate marketing and brand sponsorship to reach $83.333 per month.
Obviously, my first goal is to reach my first milestone with my 1:1 services. I won't wait to be "ready." I'm gonna execute and learn along the way. I will build in public, product by product, while growing my revenue.
I already have a failed YouTube channel under my belt. But, it was a huge ice breaker for me because I learned how to edit, speak to a camera, and get over it.
With that, it's a wrap. I hope you got some inspiration to write your own income board with potential income streams for yourself.
I'll see you soon, very soon.
PS: Don't hesitate to send me a DM. I'd love to connect with you.
