A new era is emerging.

Holistists will take over the world.

Specialists vs. generalists is an infinite debate that has been going on forever.

Specialists claim that generalists are a commodity because they can't specialize, so they can't charge premium prices.

On the other side, I never heard anything coming from generalists.

Is it because specialists are right, or is it because generalists don't care?

At the end of the day, anyone can do whatever he wants.

When my Mom asks me, "Do you want to eat a pizza or a roasted chicken" this weekend? I can't choose. I want them both.

Is it indecision or the inability to be satisfied with ONE thing?

I always wanted to master many skills, and I did not comply with what we've been taught since high school.

I never knew what I wanted to do, but I always knew what I didn't want to do.

"Pick ONE thing."

It's hard to fully embody this way of thinking and acting when everyone tells you to do the opposite.

My question is, why can't we be both?

A Specialist AND a Generalist.

I call him the "Holistist."

It is derived from the words "holistic" and "holism".

Holism: the theory that parts of a whole are in intimate interconnection, such that they cannot exist independently of the whole, or cannot be understood without reference to the whole, which is thus regarded as greater than the sum of its parts. Holism is often applied to mental states, language, and ecology.

"Renaissance Man" and "Multi-Dimensional Man" could mean the same thing.

Holistist is only a creative and clever name to help you remember what a specialized generalist could be.

Until now, I found two “clever” ways to explain what I do and who I am.

  • An Intellectual Influencer
  • A Holistist

I aim for people to ask me what a Holistist or an Intellectual Influencer is. I will give them a summary, and I’ll also provide them with this newsletter to read.

If you’re one of them, thank you for your curiosity. Feel free to send me a DM when you’re done.

Can you be a Generalist and Specialist?

Short answer, yes.

When you can't be one or the other, be both.

I wanted to change the way generalists are looked down upon.

As if they're useless.

Even though I had a problem with "specialization," I still didn't want to label myself a "generalist." And I asked myself, why not both?

The question that comes after this is, how can you become both?

Good question. Glad you asked.

The only way to become both is to become valuable.

How do you become valuable?

Damn, GREAT question.

Valuable = irreplaceable or arguably extremely hard to replace.

In other words,

If you have a job, and they could fire you whenever they want. The sad truth is you aren't valuable.

If you have multiple skills and you're GOOD. Reframing your skill stack as a unique and valuable expertise is possible. How to do it:

Reframing Your Expertise as a Holistist

What you'll be reading are principles I live by.

My current skill stack: brand design, web design, writing, Ads, SEO, curating knowledge.

Outside of Twitter, I work with Medical Spas and Beauty Salons.

I started as a Web Designer, but I quickly understood how replaceable I was. That was because I wanted to give it a try and "focus on one thing."

The sad truth is they didn't care.

I started noticing a typical pattern among them (Med Spas & Beauty Salons.)

  • Lack of brand cohesiveness
  • Lack of SEO optimization
  • Lack of an optimized funnel for customer acquisition
  • Lack of persuasive copy
  • Lack of optimized ads

They only had some of the above. One or two aspects were good, but not the others.

After signing my first *web design-only* client. I decided to offer my other skills for free to collect tangible results.

Then, I reframed my expertise.

Your skill stack is a unique combination that can be conveyed in a valuable way to solve real-world problems.

Implementing the Concept

Here's a life-changing prompt you can use on ChatGPT to become a Holistist:

"I have this skill stack: {skill, skill, skill, skill}. How can I reframe it as a highly valuable expertise and charge a high amount to {target audience}?

At the end of the day, these owners don't give a damn about any specialization. The only thing they're looking for is quite simple:

1) can you help me make more money?

2) can you help me help more people?

It doesn't matter how you do it.

What matters is, can you really do it?

An interesting question was raised.

What if another "Medical Spa Growth Strategist" emerges?

The truth is, there are already many others.

And again, what truly matters is not the how but the what.

What can you do for me?

It's a positioning and offer game.

You have to be creative and solve problems.

Solve yours before solving others.

Side Note: I thought of this prompt after listening to Sam Ocean’s Spaces on X. He's outstanding with offers creation.

Why Specialization is In The History Book

To make this clear, I don't even claim I'm an expert in what I'm doing.

Instead of "telling," I prefer "showing."

My way of approaching this is different.

I know what I can bring to the table with my CURRENT level in every skill.

I do not need to become

- A certified AD expert to double their revenue.

- A certified SEO specialist to rank them on the first page of Google.

- The best web designer to build them a highly effective website to grow their revenue.

I can do all of the above by following a specific step-by-step process tailored to their needs.

I'm not charging an exorbitant amount, but I will get paid for my value as I collect testimonials for my high-quality work.

I emphasize delivering "high-quality work."

Otherwise, you are not valuable.

PS: If you know someone who owns a Medical Spa or Beauty Salon, send them my way to earn a 15% commission.

You might be asking, but what about your personal brand?

You mean, my Multi-Dimensional personal brand.

Well, that's the beauty of it. I get to write about what I'm doing and building while having the freedom to work with creators.

The same principle applies.

How can I become valuable for creators?

By creating valuable content and building valuable products.

The list of values I can deliver at my current stage is already insane from a beginner's perspective.

As a beginner, I can help you

- Build your website

- Build your first digital product

- Create content without a niche

- Set the foundation to build a multi-dimensional personal brand

- Set up a content eco-system

- Set up your newsletter

- Generate endless ideas for your newsletter

The list goes on and on.

Do I need to prove my expertise in those areas?

No. I'm living proof of it.

Value = solution to a current or potential future problem

Current problem: You do not know how to build websites, and you don't have the money to invest in a paid course

My valuable solution: My Free Framer course will help you build an optimized website and landing pages for your offers/services.

You will remember me whenever I’ll launch a paid product. Trust me.

The beautiful thing? I don't even advertise myself as a web design expert.

That's the power of an Autonomous Brand.

Potential future problem: Spending money on useless courses.

My valuable solution: A curated list of the best courses that I have taken over the past 5 years.

If you think you don't have any value to offer.

Think again, until you do.

Become a Holistist.
